Perfect!!!!
As this was our first trip to the Cayman, we didn’t really know where to stay. Our friends recommended Rum Point, The Retreat and we could not be happier! The location was perfect for the kids as the water was shallow and we can see fish everywhere. It was close to star fish point, sting ray city and restaurants. As for the condo, it was amazing! It is away from the busy scene like 7 miles beach. You will need a car as it is about 45 minutes from the airport but was worth it. The view from the living and the bedrooms was fabulous. Every morning waking up to that ocean view was so relaxing. The condo had every thing you needed even sunscreen, mosquito spray, floats, and kids toys. Our kids called it their “New Home.” I loved that we can sit in the patio when it got too hot for the kids during the day. David (owner) and the (property management) were great to deal with and very responsively. The condo was very clean and had extra bed sheets, towels, etc. We would definitely recommend this place and would return
This condo was perfect for my husband and I. We had a great relaxing vacation and the beach was BEAUTIFUL! If you are looking for night life this is not the place (although there was the beach bar next door and Kaibo down the road). The snorkling was amazing, and you could go 200 yards out and still be in water waist deep. Tons of colorful fish and coral! At night we walked down the rum point pier and saw a lot of stingrays… although none during the day. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We went to seven mile beach one day and it was CROWDED and we thought the Rum Point beach was nicer. It was nice to be away from all the crowds and cruise ships. We went on the bioluminesence tour which was amazing. We also took advantage of the grill and kitchen because eating out is very expensive. The grocery stores near the airport were the easiest places to shop, and only 25-30 min. drive from the condo. We stocked up after arriving and used the grocery store close to the condo for little things (it’s more expensive). All in all I would highly recommend this condo and Rum Point!
