This 2 bedroom beach front condo is located right next door to Rum Point Club and Red Sails Water sports for all water sports activities. Rum Point restaurant next door and Kaibo restaurant just 3 minutes away. Excellent for snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming and beach walking. Excellent property with beach access, great snorkeling and perfect for relaxation
Have been to Cayman a few times (including extended stay 20 years ago) and decided to try Rum Point area. Could not have been happier with choice. Rum Point is the laid back Caribbean I remember as contrasted to the busier Seven Mile Beach area that feels more like Miami than Cayman. Property is nicely decorated and comfortable with ocean view and beach. Great snorkeling right off the property. We saw eagle ray, octopus and plentiful marine life right there. Diving was arranged by Red Sail Sports (right next door) and did a great job although most dive sites are a short 20 min drive to deeper water location for diving. Although, north wall dives leave from Rum Point area. The Retreat (aptly named) was perfect base for us in laid back area of the island and we had no problem accessing entire island with rental car. Enjoyed stopping at various local “fish fry” hut between destinations for fresh fish often right on the beach. Owner of property is fantastic and was very helpful and was prompt in reply to questions. Property is well kept and well stocked – we wanted for nothing. Would stay at this property again (really never wanted to leave).
Amazing
We love staying at Rum Point!!! The retreat#33 has a breathtaking view off the lanai ,master bedroom and living room. The Beach is beautiful and steps away from the condo the water is very calm for those with young children and great snorkeling. The condo was very clean and spacious and feels very open with the cathedral ceilings. The owner Belle is extremely nice and strives to make sure your stay is perfect. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks for making our vacation stay perfect!! Jenn
This condo was perfect for my husband and I. We had a great relaxing vacation and the beach was BEAUTIFUL! If you are looking for night life this is not the place (although there was the beach bar next door and Kaibo down the road). The snorkling was amazing, and you could go 200 yards out and still be in water waist deep. Tons of colorful fish and coral! At night we walked down the rum point pier and saw a lot of stingrays… although none during the day. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We went to seven mile beach one day and it was CROWDED and we thought the Rum Point beach was nicer. It was nice to be away from all the crowds and cruise ships. We went on the bioluminesence tour which was amazing. We also took advantage of the grill and kitchen because eating out is very expensive. The grocery stores near the airport were the easiest places to shop, and only 25-30 min. drive from the condo. We stocked up after arriving and used the grocery store close to the condo for little things (it’s more expensive). All in all I would highly recommend this condo and Rum Point!
